Roar!

Ezra chose this lion costume for Awana's costume night and trick-or-treating - for the second time.  When he wore it the first time two years ago, it was a little too big... This year, it's a little too small!   When Ezra wears his lion costume he truly takes on a lion personality and becomes King of the Jungle (even more than he normally is, if that is possible!). 

Pumpkins

Our pumpkins this year:  Abby's happy pumpkin, Johnathan's spooky pumpkin, Naomi's swimmer, and Ezra's silly guy pumpkin.  Fun to pick, fun to carve, and covered in snails and mold by the next morning, so its a good thing I got a picture right away! 

Race Day

 

Naomi and Johnathan have been on the Aerofit swim team for most of this year, and they just participated in their first race day.

They are doing great, getting a lot of exercise, and having fun!

Texas State Fair

 

We did it.  The Texas State Fair.  I would tell the whole story here, but honestly, the 6 hours are kind of a blur.  So I'll just say this:

 

There were a lot of people.  And lights.  And fried stuff.

 

We saw Big Tex and people riding on ostriches in races, and a ginormous pig.  And a parade and a really cool water and laser light show.  And a lot of other stuff. 

It really was fun... most of the time!  And now that we've done it, we don't need to go back for a while!!

Latte Baby

 

The first time Abby begged me for a sip of my coffee, I told her, "No, Mommy's coffee is yucky."  But she persisted, so I gave her a sip, thinking that would settle the issue when she tasted its bitterness.  The joke was on me, because upon first taste, she vigorously nodded her head and immediately requested more!  

So I guess I have a Starbucks buddy!
