Welcome, Sarah!

Congratulations to Uncle Randy, Auntie Erika, and Kayla as they welcome Sarah Grace to their family! 


Kevin and Ezra had a wonderful time meeting her on a quick trip to Colorado.  She is precious!

Spring

 Spring is here...

  A new rosebush is blooming.

We're thankful for the rain we've been getting... and our new raincoats!

And we are supremely thankful that several folks from church cleaned out our flower beds - a job that 7-months-pregnant Rachel could not pull off this year.  They look beautiful!

Bluebonnets and Blue Bell

What could be better on a beautiful spring day than a drive to see the blue bonnets, a picnic, and a little Blue Bell ice cream at the factory?

Yum!

Baby Discoveries

We love every glimpse and hint about the little one we're expecting in June, so we were very anxious for our 20 week ultrasound, hoping we'd get to see some sweet poses and find out if it is a boy or a girl.  First our doctor tried, but the baby not interested in cooperating with the gender-reveal plan.  Then the sonographer did our full scan a few weeks later.  Baby was kneeling in a breech position (praying that we wouldn't find out?) - a position he said was virtually impossible to tell.  We were glad the baby looks healthy... But we really wanted to know!

A week later I had my regular monthly appointment, and this time, the baby had flipped over.  So we are pretty certain that it is a girl!  Naomi rejoiced.  Johnathan came around.  Ezra still has no clue what's going on!

But at my next appointment, we got an even better treat... a glimpse of her sweet little face!  My doctor asked if he could "test out" one of his new 3D settings... As if I would say no to that!  We were all excited by the clear picture he got.

So this is our little one at 26 weeks.  Amazing!

The Kids

Creative Cars

We've established through the years of Awana Grand Prix races that the Boaz family doesn't do fast, but we can do creative.  Here are our cars this year - Kevin's Grand Prix racetrack car, Naomi's tea table car, and Johnathan's ice cream bar car.  All winners in the creative categories and... last place in speed!

Ezra These Days

How do we describe Ezra these days?  Well, he's...

... into everything (and on top of, underneath, around, or yanking on it to get it open!) 

 ... sometimes cranky - especially if you are taking away the very interesting thing he found to play with, like your camera, phone, car key remote, tv remote, school supplies, or favorite toy.

And oh-so-sweet.  He freely gives put kisses and big hugs to Mommy and Daddy.  He calls out, looking for his big buddies, "JJ" and "Omi".  He also loves finding Naomi's baby dolls and taking them for walks, showering them with kisses and smooshing them with hugs.  He should be very fascinated when we bring a real, moving, crying baby home in a few months for him to keep!

Family Fun

 Heather and Carolanne were in Austin for a few days, so we were excited to have a chance to hop over on their free day to have fun together.  We did our favorite Austin kid activities - playing at the Children's Museum and riding the Zilker Zephyr.

 This was Ezra's first train ride, and he is deeply interested in "choo choos" these days, so he was exceptionally excited!

Naomi was thrilled to have a little shadow in Carolanne to pay with all day, too.
