Happy Birthday, Ezra!
Ezra is turning 2!
It's amazing how gigantic he looks ever since we brought his baby sister home from the hospital. Suddenly he's a big guy! His early birthday party, which we had with Grandma before she returned home, revolved around Ezra's favorite - Thomas the Tank Engine.
He had Thomas cupcakes...
books...
and a train toy.
He also got a new tricycle, graduating from his beloved "pusher" (a ride-on wagon toy he got for his first birthday, which he loved to its recently demise. I guess they're not designed to withstand Ezra's full-force play style!). He was proud to try it out...
...though he eventually went back to his favorite way of getting around the parking lot - by pushing! It was a happy birthday, indeed!

It's everyone's favorite week of the summer - VBS!
This year we went to Sonrise National Park.

Grandma's Visit
We are ever so thankful that Grandma Stata was able to come to help us for 2 1/2 weeks. We didn't know when Baby Girl would arrive, but just like when Ezra was born, Grandma ended up flying in the day before Abby showed up. Perfect timing!
Grandma washed countless loads of laundry, prepared dozens of meals, woke up with our early-bird boys every morning, provided hugs and snuggles, read Happy Birthday Thomas to Ezra until it was memorized, and inspired Naomi to clean bathrooms like we lived in a hotel. Thank you, Grandma!
